Quality Grades

Grade AB
Grade A – Clear, without discoloration; small knots up to 5 mm allowed, maximum 2 per lamella.
Grade B – Clear, slight discoloration allowed; healthy knots (1 to 2) with a diameter of 8–12 mm per lamella, and up to 5 small knots with a diameter up to 5 mm.

Grade CR
Grade C – Clear, uneven texture allowed, moderate discoloration permitted; 1 or 2 healthy knots with a diameter of 25–30 mm allowed, as well as several black knots 15–20 mm in diameter, at least 10 mm from the edge of the lamella.
Grade R – Unlimited healthy knots 50–60 mm; rotten or open knots up to 30 mm allowed; ingrown bark up to approx. 5×50 mm permitted (not on the edges) ; knots and bark must be at least 10 mm from the edges or ends of the lamella; moderate discoloration allowed.

Grade RR
Healthy knots up to 80 mm; rotten or open knots up to 50 mm; ingrown bark up to approx. 10×100 mm allowed; closed outgoing heartwood permitted on up to 50% of the length; sapwood allowed up to 10 mm on one side; end cracks up to 20 mm deep and internal cracks within the lamella up to 40 mm allowed; discoloration permitted.

Custom Dimensions – Oak Lamella 4.2 mm & 6.1 mm

In addition to the listed dimensions, other lengths can be ordered upon request, provided that they fall within the same or similar width ranges.
Such adjustments generally do not affect the price.

Widths not listed in the standard offer, but required by the buyer, are negotiated separately and the price depends on the quantity and specification.

If lamellae shorter than 1520 mm are not included in the order, the price will be higher than shown in the price list. This applies to dimensions that are otherwise offered in lengths from 820 to 3020 mm.

Lengths between 2500 and 3020 mm are not mandatory if they cannot be used due to technical limitations in the buyer’s production process.

According to prior agreement, customers can choose the desired lengths from the available range.

Buyers may also define their own grading criteria, which will determine a custom price independent of the standard price list, based on the share of features described in the standard grading system.
